Since there is a different bug already in the patch's code, and a lot of debugging stuff that should be removed, maybe you should remove the moverefill code from the server for a few days to see if it causing this bug.
No, it does only mean that it's set. It didn't work for me, but if it will work for others, then well ... I can be that only one who can move units without waiting for refill :).
That doesn't really make sense, it's not like other users are running their own server. Either it works on the server hosting the game or it doesn't. Sorry that I do not have time to examine the patch in detail (being busy with regular freeciv and warclient), but if it only works some of the time that would be unfair to the unlucky players and it should be turned off.

Alright I suppose, if no players mind. I'm not sure how well it can be tested though; if you disable the super verbose debugging logging it is hard to track back the actions (just from user reports), while if you enable the logging it will produce megabytes and megabytes of almost completely useless log files.
Anyway, players please report anything strange that you find.
The first test of the moverefill patch is not going well for me.
I moved my units 9 hours before turn change. Have tried to move them 2, 3, and 4 hours after. That is a delay of 11, 12 and 13 hours. They have yet to have their moves restored. Oh dear!
After 24 hours, ie 9 hours before turn the next turn change I got all the moves back. I seem to have a 24 hour timeout.
That's interesting. Can anyone else confirm that their moves are being refilled as if the moverefill time were 24 h = 86400 s?
Maho are you sure you set timeout = 86400 and moverefilltime = 36000? If that is the case, then there would seem to be a mistake in the refill time calculation code, which I should be able to fix easily.
For most of the holidays I have only logged on to the game once each 24 hours at approximately the same time. The move refill patch has no impact on this style of play.
Yesterday I moved some of my units, early in the turn some late, and made some partial moves.
After a delay of 12 hours from the last move made, and over the turn change, The units that moved early had all been restored and the partial moves had all been partially restored. The later units had not been restored. 4 hours later all units had been restored..
From this test and the one above the timeout seems to be either somewhere between 13 and 16 hours. Or there is a secondary factor at work, for instance ten hours after time change, that I have not been testing for.
I have feeling that timer is even near about 24h .... but it doesn't disturb me, and gives game even more smooth - turn change affects only my money and production.
But the hard fact is that value of timeoutrefill is 36000.
Despite not knowing the exact timeout setting I really like this patch. Here's why.
I have never lost a move, never lost production or money with this patch.
Where I live the time change is fixed at 5:30AM every day. I do not want to get up and play at this time. By logging on 5 hours before and 5 hours after turn change I can be sure to defeat any double turn invasions. This I did yesterday. Thank you Book.
The patch seems to be working properly in complex situations. For example when I split my move along a river into thirds. On the next turn if I move out of the river onto a mountain with 2/3 of a move yet to be restored. The patch does not restore those 2/3 move in this case.
Maho first needs to add a nation to the game environment. Spawn you some toys to play :)
Now you are just logging in, but there's no nation that you are attached to and there is no nation you can be attached to, and obviously, you are not allowed to take someone's nation :)

No Teleport - thanks Book! Did the tired attack patch get added as well? The Move/Refill patch is still taking longer than 14 hours to refill but I still like it. Hope we can add it to LTX1V.

Today I moved my units just more than 10 hours before the turn change. They regained their movement just after turn. Hence the refill time greater than 14 hours seems only to apply to moves made in the ten hours before turn change.
I've been playing LTeX2.1 since the 1st turn, but I can not connect since yesterday. Is there a server problem???
I've just read today that you have to click turn done to avoid being idle. I didn't know that. I was just moving units and then disconnecting. Hopefully, you didn't remove me b/c of that. HELP!

Last night I tried to connect and both games "failed to look up host", the website was down, and the RSS was showing an error. The website and RSS are clearly working now and I get "connection refused" when trying to join the games.
Good point pipo, we shouldn't be too negative. We've enjoyed free of charge games for years, and I hope there are many years to come. I don't know what server capacity costs, but if Maho charged us his working hours we'd all be broke. Well at least the students among us ;)

FYI - the script used in 2.0.x simply did not work here. During the launching of XIII it was discovered, that changing timeout value goes into effect with the start of the new turn - example:
Timeout is set to 88200 = 24.5h, we are at 86400=24h from the beginning, if we change timeout to 83000 (in 2.0.x it was instant end of turn ), the turn will continue for half an hour till it reaches 88200, and next one starts with length of 83000.
I am not sure if there's any possible way around - except patching the code (for example, with move-refill patch - which is being tested).

I have unsubscribed all players which were idle more than 10 turns from game. According to rules - I should mark them as idler, but we had holidays, so maybe someone was just on vacation.
There are supposedly 30/30 player in this game according to page. I believe no new players can sign up. According to a person who was looking to join a game could not find the sign up button.
In the nations window in the game there are 19 alive & active players. There are 13 RIPed players.
So is it possible for more people to sign up? How come 19+13 != 30?

When you establish contact with someone, you can see his score even if you are at war with him. I understand you could see everyone's score earlier, so this is much better. But it'd be more realistic if you could see the score of others only if you establish embassy with them.
Similarly, when I have contact with someone, I can see whom they are allied or at war with. I think, this should also be limited to having embassy.
I guess these can be solved by setting "turns until player contact is lost" to 0, right? Even if so, it'd be better to fix this separately.
Finally, when I ally with someone and he establishes embassy with someone else, it would be realistic if I automatically establish embassy with him also
I was sort of waiting - if you would consider restarting game. I heard that respawners have no chances, cause algorhytm gives them no decent aerial and naval units - and anti-doublemove patch prevents doubleturn landings (Well, it was designed for that).

It is not dead justt admin made a mistake some time ago and somehow removed timeout:) Then left for a holiday i suppose. New players can be added only by the admin so we have to wait until Maho will be back
I think there is some kind of bug in LTeX, i have establish meeting box with second player i have tried.
I cant accept conditions were set, this second player has (i mean second because first player i have tried didn accept and i wasnt able to accept too) accepted meeting but when i am trying to click accept meeting nothing happend.

ok, so i guess the server adds the new players automatically. and I guess it gives them a few techs which other players already discovered, and that is why I got the msg "alphabet stolen". makes sense.

move refill patch
So, here is the situation of my units confronted to the move-refill patch :
I made all my moves 8 hours before turn change.
Now, 3h30 after turn change, none of them has regain any move point, from warrior to vet horse.

I think there is some kind of bug in LTeX, i have establish meeting box with second player i have tried.
I cant accept conditions were set, this second player has (i mean second because first player i have tried didn accept and i wasnt able to accept too) accepted meeting but when i am trying to click accept meeting nothing happend.

Maho I have a couple of questions. It seems you just added 2 players. It then said "Assyrians stole Alphabet from you" although I can't see them (no contact). How did this happen?
Also, do you add new players manually or is it automatic? If you add them manually, does that mean you see the whole map and decide where and how many units to add?

ok, so i guess the server adds the new players automatically. and I guess it gives them a few techs which other players already discovered, and that is why I got the msg "alphabet stolen". makes sense.
