Time to start 13th LT game, based on freeciv 2.1. As it's different from LT0-12, which were based on 2.0 client, it will be designed with roman numbers (or maybe you have better proposition?).
There will be also LT13 started, based on freeciv 2.0.
Note, that this game will be started from scratch, from vanilla ruleset & settings. So, if you want settings to be changed - call a voting (I bet there will be tons of votings).
Game will start 2 weeks after last poll posted, or 2 weeks after last list of players change, whichever is later.

can I join?
I wanna play it, how can I join?
re: can I join?
You can't.
Or maybe you will convince someone (2 persons (*) ) to resign from game, then you can join.
(*) - somehow 31 players connected to game, when 30 is allowed ;). I think I must review code of signup module ;). Anyway, we will have trouble when starting the game. I don't know who should I unsign - who sign up as the latest.

I have seen a notion we start old "30x1 teams" game - the reason is idling of captains. This game would have clasically prolonged first turn to weed out idlers... but is there even a point of starting it, if out 6 players 3 failed to appear? Maybe we should start with final confirmations here, on the page, instead of discovering that our replacement bench is not big enough to replace all idlers :)

If substitute bench will be not enouth, it's not big deal. Idlers will be just removed from game.
But don't excite so with so fast start ....
That poll about no-teams haven't started yet. It won't start tomorrow I bet, next I will be offline, so I will be able to publish it at Wednesday. Next, I need to do some preparations ... I bet it won't start before Aug.
Anyway, everyone who can't play LTXIII or LT13 ... please unsign yourself from players list (un-sign me button)
Thanks guys
I'd like to thank my team members, but also our opponents, for nice game.
LTXIII is over, only five players belonging to one team are alive.
Thanks:)
Congratulations!
A great victory. You built up a huge tech lead using the caravan trade and skilfully stopped us from stealing our way back to level pegging.
I think I could have held
I think I could have held you off for a while longer had it not been for those nasty nukes ;-)
I think the map layout worked well as well as the team placement algorithm.

I admit, if commander's of that army of 50 howitzers and tanks face resembled mine, he must have had his jaw really low, when seeing target Sokrat... on other shore :)
If not that, nukes wouldn't be used I think. What you gave us in coin of trouble you were paid back in coin of radiation :D
Congratulations. Unfortunatel
Congratulations.
Unfortunately, i was on holidays previous week and i didn't see the end of my beautiful ISLAND (It seems you didn't see my terraforming before getting to what was an ismuth - and i like this :P).
Freeciv is a race and your team was faster. You won.
congrats
Congrats Vonzgred. It seems you did everything the Romans did, and more.
A pity for a lot of players this game was that they spent a lot of time investing in their nation but could not reap from that since it was washed away without a decent fun fight.

congrats vonz!
Congratulations Vonz and team, one of the clearest victories I've ever seen in longturn! My musketeers didn't match your howitzers :P
What's your secret? Was it clever usage of caravans? Most of us stopped sending caravans after getting full traderoutes. We discussed the "cancel traderoute trick" but didn't get a chance to put it in practice. And I doubt that would've saved us.
I think LTXIII was a pretty succesful teamgame. Clearly at the end all teams made peace and exchanged information and tactics to counter Vonz, but when the howies came we had to face them on our own. Tech sharing by allowing diplomats to steal from eachother's alliance is much trickier than I thought, and not having free passage through friendly alliances also makes it hard to function as a whole. So we didn't really end up with a "world alliance", which I think is great.
Good game, looking forward to the next one.

We had developed cruisers
We had developed cruisers and artillery. But really, would anyone stay up 24 hours and check the freeciv client every 5 minutes just to be able to counter Vonzgred's attacks? :)
I must give respect to Vonzgred's ferocious time investment in LTXIII!
