Before you call a voting, remember:
- don't make poll about impossible things: don't propose disabling citygiving, when software used doesn't give such option.
- if poll regards change in code - attach patch to code. It should be unified diff against sources in svn.
If patch won't apply to sources without conflict, or admin thinks that it's too unstable - poll may be rejected without voting.
- add proper tags: usually LT, game related tag, ie: LT9, votings (to let one find all votings in the game)
- from other side: don't add too many tags. Tags/topic line isn't rewrite of subject, but is to easy navigate from one page to another. So, don't make mess in tags.
- add LTx game prefix in the title, for example LT9 - more landmass.
- specify very clear what you want to be voted. One must know exactly what is the question, and what will happend when he will vote for one of options.
So asking "let's do XXXXXXX. Otherwise let's do YYYYYY", with "yes" and "no" options is unacceptable, because one don't know if "yes" means XXXXX or YYYYYY.
If you want to change some option in settings or in ruleset, specify what option in which file should be changed to what value.
- Give to voter all available choices. Let's say asking if rapturedelay should be 1 or 2 is unfair for players which want rapturedelay=7. There must be option for them: All available options, or something like greater than...., which will be subject to another poll.
- again, be very precise!. Don't use "do you want to add icons to units" question. Better ask "do you want to add XXX icon (file attached) to YYY unit?".
- specify poll duration according to Rules. Usually 1 week - sometimes it's it must be longer or shorter due to some reason (write down few words about it in poll body).
- if you want to discuss it first - set start date as now() + few days .
- use preview button. It must look good. Put empty lines (double <cr>) between paragraphs. Use paragraphs at all!
- Don't use http://xxxxx/yyy/long-url-whic... in text. Use <a href=".......">link description</a> instead.
If you won't follow guidelines above, your poll may be deleted or wait until admin have time (which means quite long). Also, admin can change content of your poll without notice.
To create voting, use one of following:
- Ranking poll - if you want to elect one winner from many options, where winner has > 50% of voters.
- Binary poll - if you want to know yes/no answer to the options OR you want to elect one or more options, like in classic polls before .

Add paragraph at all...is that supposed to be "Don't add paragraphs <p> at all", or "It would be nice if you used paragraphs at all"?
